Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will get insight into the history of economic thinking and the history of monetary systems, identifies the basic questions that economics deals with as science and their projection into the economy in the individual stages of human society. Student perceives the impact of globalization on economic thinking and economics, recognizes the current directions of economic thinking, A "new economy", principles of socially responsible entrepreneurship and their reflection on company strategy and policy.

Essential questions of economics as a science, economics vs. economy
History of Economic Thought - Significant directions and schools
The history of monetary systems and their role in the economy
Current trends in economic thinking
The impact of globalization on economic thinking and the economy
New economy: from unlimited economic growth to sustainable growth and development
The view of the new economy on the role of finance in the economy
Business strategy and policy in the era of the new economy
Principles of Corporate Social Responsibility
Possibilities of implementing the principles of socially responsible entrepreneurship in the practice of industrial enterprises
Economic and Financial Aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility: Maximum Profit vs. sustainable profit, socially responsible distribution of created values, creation of shared value
Alternative Economic Concepts (Community Economy, Mondragon, Good Network)
