Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will acquire knowledge from key areas of industrial enterprise management. He recognizes the historical significance and role of individual theories, schools and management concepts and can use them in practical application in the conditions of industrial enterprises. The student can integrate the use of different approaches, tools and methods to address specific strategic tasks of industrial enterprises and formulate, implement and control key decisions in the context of a new business model based on sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility.
Course contents:
History and management development, management schools, system characteristics of management, nature and content of management theory.
Prognosis of socio-economic systems. Model of business forecasting process.
Sustainable strategic management.
Progressive approaches to organizational structures for industrial enterprises.
Corporate culture and its impact on business performance.
System approach to human resources management.
Motivation theories and motivation programs.
Model of the communication process and its management.
Creation of an industrial control system.
Key managerial competencies and competency models.
Comparative management.
Paradigms of changes in the 21st century from the industrial managers' view.
