|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Students will obtain of basic knowledge on modeling and control of continuum mechanical systems . Understand the principles of design of control algorithms, will be familiar with design principles for distributed parameter systems, lumped-input and dsitributed-parameter-output systems. Receive skills in utilization of virtual software environments in engineering practice.|
|Mathematical description of continuum mechanical systems by partial differential equations. Numerical solution of partial differential equations in virtual software environments.Introduction of concept of distributed parameter systems and lumped-input and distributed-parameter-output systems.
Decomposition of dynamics into time and space components, synthesis of control dynamics in time and space direction.
Description of Distributed Parameter Blockset for MATLAB and Simulink -- Third-party software product of The Mathworks .
Application outputs into the casting, continuous casting, extrusion, induction heating, underwater remediation.
