Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will gain knowledge about the production of chemicals, intermediates used for the production of substances, materials and articles used in daily life, especially in the home, for cleaning, washing, disinfection, personal hygiene, flavoring, fragranced, packing, coloring, decoration, insulation, in the garden protection and plant growth, in the car.
 
Prerequisites and co-requisites: none
 
Course contents:
The most important raw materials, intermediates and specialty chemicals, surfactants, disinfectants, wetting and antistatic agents, dyes, pigments, inks and toners, means the insulation, coating, to protect plants, pets and home against insects, animals and fungi, additives for plastics and rubbers to improve their properties against, aging and burning.
