Assesment methods:
Progres in project objectives solutions is followed by discussions with supervisor, defense of partial results, final report revision, defense of the project results.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student is capable to integrate knowledge of basic subjects, which form the fundament of study program. He/she knows to work with unit operations in context of entire technology, to apply mass and enthalpy balances in complex systems. In simulation of individual equipment utilises fundamental knowledge of mass, momentum and heat transfer in estimation of main dimensions of equipment and their efficiency. Knows to integrate mass and energy streams, methods of hazard and risk evaluation, estimation of capital and operating costs of individual equimpment and entire technology. Learns to work in team.
 
Course contents:
Unit operations in context of entire technology, mass and enthalpy balances in complex systems. Calculation and simulation of equipment utilises on the basis of fundamental knowledge of mass, momentum and heat transfer in estimation of main dimensions of equipment and their efficiency. Integrating mass and energy streams, methods of hazard and risk evaluation, estimation of capital and operating costs of individual equimpment and entire technology. Learning to work in team.
