Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student obtains knowledge from design, building and operation of automatic measurement systems. Transformation of physical values to electrical values. Sensor classification, their characteristics and calibration. 3D measuring systems, application in geodesy, civil engineering, architecture and industry.
 
Course contents:
1.Principles, definition and terminology of measuring systems. Classification and different structures of measuring systems. Sensor classification.
2.Transformation of mechanical values to electronic values.
3.Angle, length, inclination, acceleration and temperature sensors. Functional principles.
4.Static and dynamic characteristics of measuring systems. Calibration of systems and their components.
5.Base of signal theory. Signal classification. Filters.
6.Analytical industry photogrammetry systems. Principles, structure and application.
7.Laser measuring systems. Principles, structure and application.
8.Inertial measuring systems. Principles, structure and application.
