Assesment methods:
Students individually work on projects and prepare written reports. Students pass exams after defence of their projects. The final rating will be determined in accordance with rules established by the study rules STU.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students have become familiar with the advanced approaches to modelling, simulation and control of specific processes in chemical technology, they have become skills in development of program systems for simulation and control of dynamic systems
 
Course contents:
Advanced approaches to process modelling. Static and dynamic mathematical models of chemical processes, parameter estimation. Validation of mathematical models. Simulation of dynamic behaviour, development of a program systems for simulation and control fo chemical processes, vizualization. Advanced approaches to process control. Application to tanks, heat exchangers, distillation columns, absorption and extraction columns, chemical reactors. Individual project.
