Assesment methods:
The students will be integrated into the research team of the department and during the semester they will plane and execute the initial experiments. In collaboration with other team members they prepare the results useful in a scientific publication at a conference or journal at least at the national level. Based on achieved publishable results students are rated in accordance with the study rules of the STU.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The students have become familiar with basic scientific methods, problems and trends of science in the dissertation topic. The students know the particular problems and methods of solving them; they are ready to deal with problems in the dissertation topic. The students are involved in scientific team of the department.
 
Course contents:
Learning the basics of planning experiments.
Conducting experiments and mastering methods of data processing and evaluation.

Notes:
The teachers are all supervisors in the study programme; therefore they are not listed individually. All supervisors teach in Slovak or English language. Recommended literature relates to the topic of the research project and the topic of the dissertation thesis.
