Assesment methods:
Two written tests are planned during the semester - each for 10 points. Laboratory exercises are obligatory, student must deliver laboratory reports, maximum for 10 points in total.
Student must obtain minimum 15 points of 30 during the semester to attend the final examination.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Getting the student acquainted with the fundamentals of electric circuits, principles and models of selected devices and systems. Student will be able to solve electric circuits with DC and AC currents, and understand principles of resonant circuits.
Course contents:
Basic laws and principles in electric circuits. Ideal and real circuits elements, their models. Real power supply, sources coupling, efficiency. Basic circuit structures - parallel and series connection, voltage and current divider, bridge connection. Basic methods and principles of circuit modelling and analysis. Nonlinear resistive circuits. Sinusoidal voltage and current, its generation. Phasor-voltage and phasor-current, impedance. Power of sinusoidal current. Transformer. Resonant circuits.
