Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student acquires knowledge of analog and digital LTI systems, is able to work with methods of frequency analysis, can apply basic methods of filter design.
Prerequisites and co-requisites: none
Course contents:
Signals and systems, signals classes, analog and discrete LTI system. Signals representation in the frequency domain. Discrete signals in time - sampling, spectrum of discrete signal. Quantization, quantization noise. Characteristics of analog LTI systems, description of system in time domain and transform domain. Transfer funcion, approximation of linear systems frequency characteristics,Bode, Nyquist diagram. Characteristics od discrete linear systems, description in time domain, impulse response, transfer funcion, frequency characteristics. Convolution. Fourier series, FT of continous and discrete signals, DFT, FFT. Analog and digital filters – types, characteristics.
