Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The course provides basic knowledge of the branch of transport technology and allows students to receive guidance in the construction of road and terrain vehicles and mobile maschine technology.

Course contents:
Reciprocating internal combustion engines, the principle of work. Characteristics and engine emissions.
Trends in power units.
Concept and characteristics of motor vehicles.
Trends in road vehicles. Elements of safety in motor vehicles.
Specification of mobile machines, the main structural parts.
Trends in mobile working machines.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Subject aim:
 Reciprocating internal combustion engines, the principle of work. Characteristics and engine emissions.
 Trends in power units.
 Concept and characteristics of motor vehicles.
 Trends in road vehicles. Elements of safety in motor vehicles.
 Specification of mobile machines, the main structural parts.
 Trends in mobile working machines.
 
Assesment methods and criteria: The method of assessment and completion of the course: exam
Final assessment: final test and oral exam. Of the final test, you can get a maximum of 120 points. To obtain evaluation A, the student has to obtain miimum 108 points out of 120. To obtain value B, the student has to obtain minimum 96 points. To obtain value C, it is necessary to get at least 84 points, to obtain D evaluation is necessary to obtain at least 72 points, to obtain value E, the student has to obtain minimum 60 points. Test results are reflected in the oral test.
