|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|The aim is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of the foundations of microcomputer control of gasoline and diesel engines, as well as the application of modern information and communication systems for the management of motor units in motor vehicles.|
|- Introduction to combustion engines management, the definition of basic terms. Analog, digital and binary control.
- The use and consequences of the application of microelectronics in control systems. Information management of the engines sub-systems.
- Modeling of internal combustion engines, mean-value models.
- Control of spark ignition engines. Data acquisition and processing. The engine basic electronic control loops.
- Control of diesel engines.
