Learning outcomes of the course unit:
In this course, student will be acquainted with specific features of molten salts and concentrated electrolytes.
Course contents:
Structural aspects of molten salts, formation of complex species in the melts. Solid -- liquid phase equilibria. Thermodynamic aspects of molten salts (enthalpy, density, surface tension, vapour pressure). Transport properties (electrical conductivity, viscosity). Experimental methods in investigation of melts.
