Assesment methods:
Minimal requirements for complete the course are preparation of three seminar work and successful oral examination. Oral examination will be scored by 100 points. Minimal number of points necessary for grade A is 90, for grade B students have to earn at least 80 points, for grade C at least 70 points, for grade D at least 60 points and for grade E at least 55 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will obtain knowledge about the causes and diagnostic of various diseases. Is familiar with aspects of genesis and progress of metabolic disorders, organ disorders and diseases linked to insufficient or improper nutrition. Student understands the relationship between the cause of disease and its clinical manifestations. He is familiar with methods and techniques of determination of biochemical parameters used in diagnostics of diseases.
