Course contents:
Biochemistry and physiology of microorganisms used in fermentation industry, in ethanol production, baker yeasts and single cells proteins.
Resources of fermentation industry for ethanol production, baker yeasts and SCP.
Resource pre-treatment.
Basic equipment for aerobic fermentation and ethanol fermentation. Basic equipment for cell biomass isolation and ethanol distillation. Yields account to source utilisation and energy.
Production of baker yeasts and active dried yeasts. Microbial biomass compounds utilisation in pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
Ethanol production for beverage industry. Production of distillates.
Bio-ethanol production as fuel.
