Course contents:
1.Technology of special inorganic materials (allowance 0/0)
 
a.. Introduction, content, classification of materials (metal and alloys, polymers, ceramics, composites), internal and external
b.2. Driving forces for microstructure evolution, sintering, sintering reactions, crystal growth.
c.3. Production of special inorganic materials, individual technological phases.
d.. Traditional and advanced ceramics from the microstructure point of view, structural ceramics,engineering properties. Methods of synthesis and sintering.
e.5. Oxide and non-oxide ceramics, SiAlON: crystal structure, synthesis of precursors, preparation of ceramic materials, properties and applications.
f.6. Solid electrolytes. Theory of ion conductivity, glass electrolytes, measurement of electric conductivity of solid electrolytes, properties, applications.
g.7. Fundaments of material chemistry of semi-conductors, principal properties, applications.
h.8. High - temperature superconductors, basic definitions. Structure and properties of high temperature superconductors, preparation method of high-temperature superconductors.
i.9. Magnetic ceramic materials, basic definitions. Magnetic oxide-ceramics, preparation method, properties and applications.
j.10. Fiber optic cables, basic definitions. Preparation of fibers, properties and applications.
k.11. Innovative materials based on cements, basic definitions. MDF-materials, synthesis, structure, properties and applications.
l.12. Aerogels: basic definition, preparation methods, structure characteristics of aerogel, properties and applications.
