Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Graduates acqiure a practical knowledge of fundamental electrochemical technologies and devices. They are able to run basic engineering calculation for these devices.
 
Prerequisites and co-requisites: none
 
Course contents:
Definition of basic terms in electrochemical engineering, phase boundary electrode-electrolyte, electrolyte flow, heat flow, ion and current flow. Ohms law for ac current, impedance, impedance diagrams for several types of equivalanet circuit, interpretation of electrochemical systems by method of equivalant circuits, Mass transfer-film model, criterial equations for electrolyte flow, Sherwood criteria, electrode with rough surface
