Assesment methods:
During the semester, students have to solve two individual exercises. At the end of the semester. a complex problem is given. Evaluation is based on all exercises; the solution of final problem represents 50% of the evaluation. Evaluation according to Study Regulations of STU.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will gain knowledge of solutions of various complex systems by numerical methods. Students will be able to deal with simulation calculations of technological apparatus.
 
Course contents:
Using a PC for automated solution of complex thermodynamic systems, reactors and reaction kinetics. Ways of solving of differential equations, diffusion problems. Dynamic simulation of technological devices. Introduction to statistical processing of the experimental data.
