Assesment methods:
In the course of the semester students will write 2 control tests (each for 20 points). To pass the exam, students are required to obtain the following scores: A - minimum 85 points. B - minimum 75 points, C- minimum 65 points. D- minimum 60 points. E- minimum 56 points.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will become familiar with the advanced techniques of molecular spectroscopy and theoretical principles of magnetic resonance imaging. Further student will understand advanced approaches in molecular symmetry, applications of non-equilibrium thermodynamics on biosystems and molecular dynamics and chemical kinetics.
 
Course contents:
Selected chapters in molekular spectroscopy - electronic spectroscopy, infrared spectrosocpy,
pinciples of magnetic resonance imaging. Advanced techniques in EPR spectroscopy. Non-equilibrium thermodynamics in biodsciplines. Molecular dynamics - calculations on model systems, software for molecular dynamics calculations. Chemical kinetics of complex reactions.
