The exam consists of a written test and an oral test.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To deepen and supplement the knowledge of basic principles of the structure-reactivity relationship of organic compounds.
Course contents:
Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of organic reactions. Reagents and mechanisms of organic reactions. Correlation between structure and reactivity. Solvent effect. Acidity and basicity, electrophilicity and nucleophilicity. Kinetic isotope effects. Steric and conformational properties of organic molecules.Catalysis of organic reactions.
