Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will become familiar with partial differential equations arisen in engineering applications as well as methods of their solution.

Course contents:
- Heat equation, equation of diffusion and flow in porous media.
- Advection equations and nonlinear hyperbolic systems.
- Equations of fluid dynamics.
- Geodetic boundary value problems and potential theory.
- Solving partial differential equations by analytical and numerical methods.
