Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will acquire knowledge in modern methods of 2D and 3D image analyses based on solving geometry driven nonlinear partial differential equations.
Course contents:
- Convolutions and linear diffusion equations, linear filtration.
- Nonlinear diffusion in 2D and 3D image filtering.
- Morphological operators and their continuous formulations, level-set methods.
- Geometry driven diffusion in filtration and segmentation.
- Numerical methods in image processing.
