Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject brings a modern look based on fuzzy set theory on some parts of the classical mathematics and logics (approximate deduction, for example), and on control (Mamdani and Takagi-Sugeno controllers). Student will get skilled on fuzzy deduction methods and fuzzy modelling of control systems, including some applications in artifitial intelligence.
Prerequisites and co-requisites: none
Course contents:
- Classical propositional logic.
- Basics of fuzzy logics, fuzzy connectives, fuzzy modus ponens.
- Fuzzy set theory, fuzzy arithmetics.
- Fuzzy relations, operations with fuzzy relations.
- Fuzzy deduction in fuzzy modelling, generalized modus ponens and modus tollens.
- Mamdani deduction method, compositional rules of inference, some fuzzy controllers.
