Learning outcomes of the course unit:
In the first part of the semester students will learn basics of linear algebra (including eigenvectors and eigenvalues). They will be able to solve linear systems and handle simple tasks in analytic geometry. In the second part of the semester students will learn fundamentals of calculus of one variable, including real world applications.
Prerequisites and co-requisites: none
Course contents:
• Matrices and determinants.
• Linear systems, and solution methods.
• Eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
• Geometric applications of linear algebra.
• Properties of functions of one variable.
• Differential calculus of functions of one variable with applications in engineering.
• Basics of integral calculus.
