Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will acquire with the laws and equations of engineering statics and elastostats. He would make the description of the equilibrium state of the material point and of the rigid and releasable body. They will learn about the stress and deformation of the elastic body for the individual states of stress, as well as their mutual relationship expressed in the Hook Act for isotropic and anisotropic material. It masters the basics of tensor calculus and its application in solid and flexible body mechanics. They will acquire with equations of linear theory of elasticity in tensor form. They will learn the selected energy and variation principles of the mechanics of pliable bodies and their application to analyze selected tasks of continuum mechanics.
Course contents:
Static of the material point and the material body. Static effects of forces. Binding and binding reactions. Introduction to elastostatic engineering. Strain and deformation at the point of the body. Hook's law. Basic stresses. Dimensioning of mechanical elements. Strong hypotheses. Fundamentals of Tensor Count. Voltage tensor and deformation tensor. Generalized Hook Act. Tensor of elasticity. Symmetry of elasticity - ortotropy, anisotropy and isotropy of the elastic tensor. The energetic and variational principles of continuum mechanics and their use in the development of numerical methods in computational mechanics. Solving equations of continuum mechanics in the MATHEMATICA software environment.
