Assesment methods:
Active participation in the exercises, essays practical processing and calculation exercises, from which it is possible to obtain a total of 40 points. These points are credited to a test point from which you can get up. 60 points. To obtain the final assessment of the subject - and you need to get at least 92 points, to obtain user B at least 83 points, the C rating of at least 74 points for the evaluation of at least 65 points D and E on the evaluation of at least 56 points. Exam is written, but the examiner may extend an oral exam doskúšanie, by which it can modify the test result.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will acquire a basic overview of energy sources, their stocks, cutting and possibilities of their transformation into other forms. Reshaped the issue of design of individual types of power plants in terms of sustainability, technical feasibility and economic benefits of solutions. The exercise will be solved by experiments and calculations in terms of the principles of verification of individual energy technologies. The student should be able to independently solve the problem of choosing the appropriate technology for energy production on the basis of the available resource base, respectively. primary forms of energy available.
Course contents:
Students get familiar with the basic principles of operation and parameterization of individual technologies applicable to production in particular electricity from various primary energy sources. Top of defined sources of energy supplies and their separation from different perspectives. Later, gradually represent different used and useful technologies related to various primary sources of energy - thermal and nuclear power, organic Rankine cycle, combined cycle, cogeneration, trigeneration, pyrolysis, gasification, biogas plants, hydroelectric power, wind power and solar power. Space is also devoted to the accumulation of power, centralized and decentralized electricity production and resource economics.
