Active participation in labs and excursion. The presentation of experimental results (40%), according to a specific assignment. The exam (written/spoken) - 60%.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The objective of this course is to give some information about the measurement and evaluation of selected physical, structural, electromagnetic and optical properties of various kinds of materials such as dielectrics, magnetic materials, composite materials, materials for electromagnetic field shielding, materials for optical communications and industrial sensor applications, etc.

2. Structure of materials
5. Magnetic materials
6. Materials for electromagnetic fields shielding
7. Composite materials for high frequency electronics
8. Materials for optical communications
9. Optical materials for industrial sensor applications
10.-11. Materials of the future (one-atom-thick nanotubes, smart materials and magnetic liquids, graphene, superlattices, metamaterials and chiral materials)
