Checking lecture test 20 points, individual exercise work 15 points, project solution 15 points. Final written exam 50 points. Final student evaluation is given by actual study regulations of STU.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To teach students principles of hardware and software realisation of digital signal processing methods for information collection and preprocesing in measuring subsytems of cybernetic systems. The students will obtain basic skills in signal digital signal processing technology, hardware and software design of DSP systems for industrial praxis, for technical diagnostics as well as for experimental research and development.
Course contents:
Introduction to digital signal processing (DSP), goal and methods. Description, modelling and specific properties of discrete systems. Digital filtration. Discrete IIR filter design techniques. FIR filter design techniques. Problems of digital fix point processing. Signal processors (structure, properties, applications). Specific features of signal processor architecture. The ways of inter processor communication realisation in DSP systems. Principles of discrete transformations, DFT a FFT techniques and their utilisation. Multifrequency systems of signal processing. Wavelet transformations. Digital processing of stochastic signals. Specific requirements to DSP in measuring systems.
