Assesment methods:
During Semester students will write 2 tests. The sum of points for the test is 20 points. To pass the tests should be obtained in the sum at least 10 points. Exam, consisting of written and oral part is rated a maximum of 30 points. On successful completion of the exam should be obtained at least 18 points. Students will get credits for the subject if they successfully complete the written tests and exam.
Evaluation is done as follows: A 46-50 points B 41-45 points C 37-40 points 32-36 points D, E 31-28 points.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student gains knowledge about advanced methods of planning and management of industrial maintenance (especially Total Productive Maintenance) and methods of diagnostics of machines. Become familiar with the methods of risk management used in determining the optimum maintenance strategy machinery. It will be able to carry out analysis of the causes and consequences of failures (FMEA). Obtain basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of machine diagnostics.
 
Course contents:
1. Maintenance as part of the manufacturing process, maintenance tasks and objectives, basic maintenance strategies, progressive maintenance strategies
2. Documentation for maintenance, maintenance normative base, organizational forms of maintenance
3. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) - pillars of TPM, TPM implementation in production systems, autonomous maintenance
4. Standardization of maintenance actions
5. Maintenance effectiveness evaluation, Overall equipment efficiency
6. Risk management application in maintenance – hazard types, methods for analysis and evaluation of risk
7. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
8. Operating dependability, evaluation methods for operating dependability
9. Failure types, wear processes
10. Corrective maintenance – fault diagnosis, primary failure cause determining
11. Preventive and scheduled maintenance, technical diagnosis of machines – predictive maintenance (P-F diagram)
12. Vibrodiagnostics, tribodiagnostics, thermodiagnostics – principle and methods
13. Computerized support of maintenance system (Computerized maintenance management system), maintenance information system
