Continuing evaluation:
The student has the opportunity receive from various activities a maximum of 25 pts. Bonuses for activities on exercises are divided as follows: 0 ÷ 4,99 b. = 0%; 5 ÷ 9,99 b. = 3%; 10 ÷ 14,99 b. = 5%; 15 ÷ 19,99 b. = 10%; 20 ÷ 25 b. = 15%.

1. Written part of exam - achieve at least 56% for continuing on exam in second stage.
2. Oral part - supplementary questions to profiling of evaluation result. The final evaluation is expressed as a sum of the obtained percentage values in each step of evaluation: 92 ÷ 100% (A), 83 ÷ 91% (B), 74 ÷ 82% (C), 65 ÷ 73% (D), 56 ÷ 64% (E), menej ako 56% (FX).
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will have a knowledge of basic mechanical tests, their execution and evaluation, as well as their intended use. He will understand the correlation between the internal structure and the measured values of mechanical properties of materials. It will be able to individually measure and evaluate basic mechanical properties. Learn the basics of fracture mechanics, how and for its use. It is able to in NDT methods used for determining the volume or surface defects in the material.
Course contents:
Mechanical tests - tensile test, bending test, twisting test, shearing test, hardness tests (Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell, Knoop, Shore) - princles, methods and evaluation possibilities.
Technological tests - characteristics, purposes and methods.
Fracture mechanics - principle, methods, evaluation methods and posibility of their use.
Non-destructive tests - X-ray, visual, kapilar, ultrasonic, magnetic, Edy current test, acoustic emmision, thermography, other non-destructive testing - principle, methods, evaluation methods and posibility of their use.
