Assesment methods:
• Credit eligibility = exam admission: 100% participation at the seminars and completion of all seminar projects. The projects will be evaluated by <0-20> points.
• Reaching at least 60% at the exam test (i.e. at least 48 points out of 80)
Evaluation scale: A – <92-100> points
B – <83-92) points
C – <74-83) points
D – <65-74) points
E – <56-65) points
FX – <0-56> points

Logical "AND" shall be applied between criteria for the credit and the exam.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Understanding of environmental aspects of technology and review of fundamental environmental concepts. Reading of expert literature with understanding. Application of basic physics in environmental sciences. Acquiring knowledge and overview about basic components of environment (e.g. water, air, energy), monitoring methods and pollution management.

3. Basic components of environment: water I 
4. Basic components of environment: water II.
5. Basic components of environment: air I.
6. Basic components of environment: air II.
7. Emissons and emission management.
8. Greenhouse effect.
9. Ozone.
10. Monitoring methods in environmental engineering.
11. Physical factors in environmet I.
12. Physical factors in environment II.
