Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Theoretical and practical knowledge in the area of nuclear facilities in frame of course. Creation of specialised knowledge and practical skills in mentioned area.
Prerequisites and co-requisites:
Course contents:
Basic knowledge of nuclear characteristics and nuclear decay processes (alfa, beta gamma decay, radioactivity, physical laws in the area). Interacion of irradiation with matter (photons, particles). Nuclear reactions, artifical radioactivity. accelarators. Neutron physics. Neutron sources. Neutron interraction with nuclear particls.. Fission and fusion processes. Nuclear reactor function. Multiplication koeficient. Design of selected nuclear power plants. Development in the atr. Main components of NPP. Nuclear reactors VVER. Thermonuclear fusion and its applications.
