Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will acquire basic principles of heat transfer, convection and radiation and will learn to model the heat propagation using simple analytical models and using numerical techniques.
Prerequisites and co-requisites:
|Classification of thermokinetic processes; heat conduction - the physical mechanism and its differential equation; stationary heat conduction without heat sources; internal sources of heat; non-stationary heat transfer; the finite elements method; heat conduction - its physical mechanism and basic quantities; differential equations for mass transfer; scaling laws; overview of experimental study of the heat convection; heat radiation; design of heat exchangers.|

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:
lectures 2h/week, problem classes 2h/week
Assesment methods and criteria:
In the course of the semester students will return problems resulting in max 20 points,
one laboratory measurement for 10 point, the rest of the points comes from the final exam.
