|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Aims and objectives:
Graduate entry knowledge of the evaluation factors of the internal environment with a focus on health and safety at work. They will learn to use the methods of evaluation factors of working environment in theory and practice. Indoor environment in buildings is a result of interaction between location, climate, building system (original design and subsequent modifications in the structure and mechanical systems), construction and contaminated sources (building materials and furnishings, moisture, processes and activities within and around the building). The following four elements include the development problems of the inner quality of buildings. They are:
• source pollutants internal, external environment,
• HVAC system (the system including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system)
• pathways of pollutants
|•Factors affecting the quality of the internal buildings. Sources of harmful indoor environment of buildings. HVAC system.
•The health effects of poor indoor environment quality of work (Sick Building Syndrome, Building-Related Illness, Chemical hypersensitive syndrome). Microclimatic conditions of the internal environment of buildings.
•Methods of assessment of microclimatic conditions in the workplace. Methods for evaluation of physical factors inside buildings. Methods for evaluation of chemical agents inside buildings. Methods for evaluating biological factors inside buildings. The impact of employee performance on the inside.
•On presentation of the project according to specification.
