Assesment methods:
Active participation in the exercises, the test during the semester, semestral project - processing and defense. Successful completion of the final written examination.
Evaluation - in accordance with the study regulations STU, Art. 16, para. 2 and 3
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Course deals with the analysis of reliability and the safety of technical systems and products. Fundamental survey and skills in formulation of reliability models appropriate to common situations in field applications is given together with the introduction to the methods to assess and to evaluate the operational reliability, availability and safety. Legal aspects as well as case studies are included to give to the students a feeling about practical consequences of the theoretical concepts. They will be able to apply modern methods in developing strategies for ensuring the reliability and safety of products.
 
Course contents:
Fundamental concepts and general framework of reliability. Quantitative assessment of the reliability
Important stochastic reliability models.
Reliability of systems. Serial, parallel and combined systems
Reliability analysis of complex systems. Reliability tests. Evaluation of reliability tests.
Weibull analysis and rank orders.
Qualitative reliability and safety analysis of systems. Assesment of products reliability and safety
Reliability of repairable systems. Reliability of multistate systems
