Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim is to inform of the students about materials, internal construction and properties of materials.
 
Course contents:
 Construction of materials. Defects in materials. Deformation.
 Metallic systems. Solidification. Binary diagrams.
 Iron alloys. Alloing elements influence. Types of iron alloys.
 Theory of heat treatment, TTT and CTT diagrams. Thermomechanical treatment, chemical heat treatmnt.
 Nonmetallic alloys. Plastic materials. Ceramics. Glasses. Special materials.
 Mechanical and defectoscopic proofs.
