Assesment methods:
Credit - submitted 2 papers to the specified topic, midterm test of tools and techniques of quality management.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students receive a basic understanding of the concepts of quality management as an integral part of management throughout the organization. The aim of the course is information on the history of quality management and approaches in different countries. The core course consists of knowledge of the current approach to quality management and its normative security (ISO 9000), statistical methods of quality control, the tools and methods of quality improvement.

- The Definition of Quality, the Historical Development of Approaches to Quality.
- The Partial Quality Assessment of Product Quality.
Approaches to Quality Management in the U.S.A. and Japan, Leaders in the Field of Quality.
Tools and Techniques of Management and Quality Improvement.
Quality Management System Standards.
The ISO 9000:2000 Series of Standards : Analysis and Characterization of ISO 9001 QMS 'Process Model', Process Approach for Quality Management. Verifing of QMS Functionality. Documentation structure.
Normalisation, Certitification QMS, Accreditation, Conformity Assessment of Products.
