|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|On completion of the course students will be able to manipulate matrices and understand the relationship between matrices and linear transformations, inverse transformations and linear spaces. Students will have knowledge of analytic geometry and be able to solve systems of linear equations by elimination methods.|
|Matrices and linear transformations.
Inverse matrices, kernel and image of a linear transformation, determinants.
Systems of linear equations.
Elimination methods for determining solutions of systems of linear equations.
Analytic geometry in three-dimensional space.
