Learning outcomes of the course unit:
It is the graduant's knowledge deepending in issue treatment of urban wastewater, disposal and liquidation of sewage sludge. The issue is divided to optimize hydraulic objects by monitoring and evaluation of wastewater inflow with focusing primarily on the effectiveness sedimentation tanks. A separate area is application of dynamic simulation models of biological wastewater treatment processes in activated tank with emphasis on removal nitrogen and phosporus and processes in objects of sludge management. Seminar work will be awarded with focus on the solved thesis topic.
Course contents:
 Hydraulic objects in the line of treatment and sludge management, optimizing the flow of wastewater and sludge and thereby processes in themselves objects of suitable construction solution.
 The impact of increased inflow of wastewater during the rain on the effectiveness objects of biological level, especially sedimentary tanks, suitable structural modification of reservoirs.
 Use static models to optimize the different variants of the activation processes with focus on the removal of nutrients.
 Use models to optimize the processes of elaborating and disposal sewage sludge, building solution of objects.
 Small wastewater treatment platns, materials and shape solutirons.
