Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject deals with the effects of urbanization on the hydrological cycle, the calculation methods of rainwater runoff in urban catchment and runoff in the sewer system. Graduated students can deepen knowledge of mathematical simulation of runoff and wastewater pollution in sewer systems and the influence of rain runoff on receiving waters. Explain the methods of monitoring of sewer systems and receiving water as well as the control methods and retention runoff on surface catchmenet and in sewer systems with focus on infiltration unpolluted rainwater, sustainablke development in cities and reduce the adverse impact of urban runoff into rivers.

Course contents:
 Changes in runoff process due to urbanization. Rain runoff pollution.
 Calculation of production and concentration of rain runoff in urban catchement.
 Mathematical modeling of rain runoff in sewer systems by models MOUSE and SWMM.
 Pollution rain runoff. Modelling of pollution trasnposrt in the sewer systems by model MOUSE SAMBA.
 The impact of effluent wastewater on the receiving water. Modelling pollution receiving water by model MIKE 11.
 Design od infiltration devices . technical design criteria and practical examples.
