Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student obtains knowledge from industry surrounding, their influence on geodetic measurement. Metrological characteristics used in industry. Theoretical and practical knowledge and experiences on measurement of industry objects and structures -- cranes, production lines and structures, power plants, etc. Basic knowledge on design, realisation and operation of automatic measurement systems.
 
Course contents:
1.Specifies of industry measurements, surrounding and their influence on geodetic measurement. Metrological aspects of industry measurement.
2.Basic industry maps. Basic plant map, rail way map, energy line map, fire (alarm) map, etc. New trends of design, build and renovation of the basic plant map.
3.Crane measurement, crane rail and crane geometry measurement. Data analysis.
4.Measurement rotating furnace geometry. Data analysis.
5.Deformation measurement of nuclear power plant. Specifies of structures and measurement conditions.
6.Industry measurement systems. Structure, design, classification. Measurement process management. Data processing, analysis. Application.
7.Measurement systems using total stations. Principle, structures, design, application.
8.Hydrostatic measurement systems. Principle, structures, design, application.
9.Coordinate measurement machines. Principle, structures, design, application.
10.Terrestrial laser scanners. Principle, structures, design, application.
