During the semester, the active participation of at least 10 consultation.
Obtain at least 56 points on the test.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Completing the subject, students will gain a comprehensive view of the design and construction of roof and functional solution residential loft space. Furthermore, students are introduced to the technique of roofing constructions of buildings and learn the basic types of roofs with roof compositions, physical and construction principles. Furthermore, they lead to the correct solution principle roofs details, i.e. solution construction details that will be able respectively will be forced to apply in practice.
Course contents:
Basic function of the roof construction. Roof types. The most decisive factors influencing the roof design. Utilizable and non-utilizable roofs.
Single and double sheathing flat roofs. Composition of sheathing layers of flat roofs. Design of the constructive details of flat roofs.
Pitched and steep roofs. Pitched trusses and frames. Grid, beam, truss and frame systems. Lightweight sheathing for truss systems.
Roofing and complementary constructions related to the sheathing of pitched and steep roofs.
Middle and long span roof structures. Planar and space span systems. Shed roofs. Sheathing solutions. Cable and pneumatic roofs.
