|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Students will learn fundamentals of the theory of Euclidian linear spaces, matrix theory and the theory of bilinear and quadratic fomrs. They will be able to apply their knowledge to handling vector spaces with inner product and dealing with eigenvectors and eigenvalues of matrices and linear operators.|
|• Euclidean vector spaces, inner product, orthogonality.
• Eigenvalues and eigenvectors of matrices and linear operators.
• Positively definite, symmetric and nonnegative matrices.
• Canonical forms and invariance of matrices.
• Bilinear and quadratic forms.
