Assesment methods:
Elaborated and handed over laboratory protocols, assignments and the seminar-work with active presentation. Final evaluation of the subject includes all-semester work on exercises and active participation at lectures.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
This subject follows the subjects of Building materials and Maltoviny. Brings more detailed information about the mortars, with a focus on the distribution, use, manufacturing and processing. Exercise are laboratory, where the student becomes familiar with the testing of the basic properties of the mortars.
 
Course contents:
the essence of the mortars and their distribution,
types of mortars according to the used binder,
types of mortars according to the purpose of use,
constituents of mortars for plastering,
production and processing of mortars,
properties and the use of mortars,
preparation of mortars,
mortars for plasters,
reprofilace mortar,
other mortars.

Lectures:
1. Historical development. Types of plasters and their properties
2. The ingredients of mortars for plastering (inorganic, organic binders, cement)
3. Ingredients and additives in lime mortars.
4. Special grout – sanation of grout HI grout.
5. Reprofilace grout.
6. The quality of the plastering on the lime basis, analysis and degradation of plasters
7. Exam
