Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students impart knowledge on various types of small water reservoirs, design principles, management and exploitation. Special attention is given to ponds for aquaculture.
Course contents:
- History, definition and purpose of small water reservoirs
- Survey work before the design of small water reservoirs
- Water supply for small water reservoirs, hydraulics and hydrology point of view
- Soil and geological conditions
- Reservoirs for aquaculture
- Irrigation reservoirs
- Spillways, monks and other special structures on small water reservoirs
