Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Obtain:
 Ability of orientation during the data selection and evaluation, which are necessary for the selection of optimal sewer system conception used in towns and villages. This provides high living standard as well as surface water and groundwater protection.
 Design, dimension and arbitration ability in accordance with the latest procedure:
o sewer system and facilities for wastewater and storm water drawing-off from surface runoff from the area
o facilities of wastewater treatment and wastewater disposal.
 The overview of the most suitable materials and construction solution to sewer facilities
 
Course contents:
- Data for sewer design, conception of the sewer networks design, selection of suitable sewer system, sewer system design
- Methods for the flow determination of municipal wastewater and storm water from surface runoff design, design and arbitration of sewer profiles and dimension of sewer system facilities, sewer pipe materials, sewer collection system structures
- Design of wastewater treatment plant -- the optimal technology scheme.
- Design and arbitration of a facility used at wastewater treatment plant and sludge processing.
- Materials and constructions of wastewater treatment plant facilities
