Assesment methods:
The condition is handing of semester project with opportunity to get up to 30 points. Written exam with opportunity to get up to 70 points. To pass the course is obtained at least 35 points of the written exam. It is necessary to obtain at least 92 point for a result A, at least 83 point for a result B, at least 74 points for a result C, at least 65 point for a result D and at least 56 points for a result E. For a result E is necessary to obtain 35 points of the written exam at the same time.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
After the passing a course, the student will have a knowledge about connection of renewable energy sources to Power System, technical conditions and also the impact of renewables to Power System in terms of Power System control and system services. They will also have knowledge about the issue of effectiveness of technical and economic control and Power System operation in conditions of an open electricity market.
 
Course contents:
The subject consists of the following parts: the issues associated with a connection of renewable energy sources into the power system, the technical conditions for connecting electrical sources to the system, regressive impact of renewable energy sources to power quality, liberalized market with electricity, market operator, settlement operator of deviation, technical conditions for the operation of the distribution and transmission system, power quality, the application of modern trends in the area of open trade with electricity.
