Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students obtain knowledge of the design of engineering activities, optimal design of measurements, design and realisation of control networks, deformation measurements as well as use of international (ISO) and Slovak (STN) standards. Discussions of the design and realisation of special tasks in the field of engineering surveying, including data analysis.
 
Course contents:
•Methodology of optimal design networks, measurement of control networks, including application to large investments (dams, nuclear power plants, highway networks, etc.).
•Stability control of network points, data analysis, application of mathematical statistics.
•Deformation measurement, design measurement, methodology, use of modern technology, automatic deformation measurement, integration of different measurement systems, data analysis.
•Specific tasks connected with the building of large structures in the field of:
-Civil engineering (high-rise buildings, structures with dynamic loading, etc.),
-Transportation engineering (bridges, tunnels, airports, cableways, metros, etc.),
-Water and hydraulic engineering (dams, water reservoirs, environmental structures, etc.),
-Energy (power plants, power lines).
•Application of modern technology to engineering surveying and industrial measurements.
