Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The educational process in this subject is aimed at acquiring knowledge about the structural configuration of machines with transfer rotational motion, which are the most frequently used structures in technological equipments. Students will have knowledge of rotor dynamics. They will be able to solve practical problems of computer modeling and simulation of operation processes in machines with rigid and flexible rotors. To solve problems in machine dynamics, they will be able to apply software tools.
Course contents:
Fundamental structures of technological devices with rotational motion transfer.
Dynamics of solid rotors.
Linear dynamics of flexible rotors - computational models of elements of flexible rotor systems - shaft, disc, bearing, unbalance.
Gyroscopic effects and their effect on rotor dynamics.
Stability of rotor systems.
Vibration monitoring of rotors and their balancing.
