Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the differential and integral calculus in the several variables and with the basic methods of the analysis of differential equations.
 
Course contents:
1.Differential calculus of the functions of several variables.
Function of several variables-definition, basic properties, limit and continuity.
Partial derivatives of the functions of several variables .
Local (global, constrained) extreme values of the functions of two variables.
Vector function, vector analysis, operators on the scalar and vector fields (grad, div, curl).
2. Integral calculus of the functions of several variables.
Multiple integral (double and triple integral). Fubini's theorem
Line integrals (I. and II. kind) of the scalar and vector functions.
3. Ordinary differential equations
Differential equations of first order-separable DE, homogeneous DE, linear DE, Bernoulli DE.
Linear differential equation of an n-th order with the constant coefficients. The method of variation of constants.
